On board the prison ship "Success", several hundred convicted criminals arrived in the Auriga system. According to the official version, they were given a chance to earn their place in society by serving him for the good. But they themselves understand that they have become just a free labor force for the colonization of new worlds. They know about Auriga only what the probes have shown: there is water there, the climate is mostly temperate and favorable for plant life, and the main natural resources are metals.

The planet Auriga once became a refuge for ancient beings who wandered through the universe — the Eternals. It was surrounded by a camouflaged orbital defense system, which activated with the arrival of the Success. Moments later, the ship was nothing but wreckage.

Each block of prison cells was planned as an escape capsule, so after the destruction of the ship, although the prisoners suffered, they survived (who knows for how long) and landed safely (relatively) on Auriga. They felt safe — until they realized that at the moment of landing they had destroyed a certain structure of the Eternals, having fallen into a basement — or rather, into a real ancient dungeon...
